Meredith Mallory,

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Mallory joined the APAWS team after spending the past 15 years of her career serving exclusively as a lead shelter veterinarian. She began her education at the University of Michigan, getting her bachelors  degree in Microbiology, and then headed over to Michigan State to attend veterinary school. After a brief time in private practice, she was excited to redirect her energies toward caring for, and spreading a little joy, to the homeless and neglected animals passing through the shelter system.

There she was able to best utilize and strengthen her love for surgery, managing infectious disease, and assisting in animal cruelty and neglect cases. She is thrilled to bring those skills to assist the patients of APAWS.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading with a kitty on her lap and taking long runs with her dog, Dash. Dr. Mallory especially loves camping, mountain biking and spending time in the woods with her husband and two kids.
